Did you know that there are over 400,000 children in foster care in the United States? Imagine moving from home to home with nothing else but a trash bag to hold your belongings. This is where Comfort Cases steps in to help. This organization packages bags with stuffed animals, books, PJs, blankets, and other new comfort items for kids moving into foster homes. Due to the pandemic, vital food donations have declined while demand has been on the rise. Your help is needed now more than ever! There are many organizations in the DMV that support local soup kitchens and pantries. Below is a list of the ones to which we contribute regularly!

Share, Inc., is a nonprofit, all-volunteer organization that provides food, clothing, furniture, and financial assistance to those in need in McLean, Great Falls, Pimmit Hills, and the surrounding areas.
Here are ways you can help:
1. Donors can donate money online by credit card, PayPal or by mailing a check. Share volunteers will purchase what is most needed and available. Click here to go to DONATE page.
2. Grocery Gift Cards can be left at the McLean Giant front desk for pick up by Share.

Deliveries are sent directly to a safe location where they are loaded into a Share food truck.
4. Food items can be dropped in the outdoor sheds at the McLean Baptist Church. For large donations, contact sharevolunteers1367@gmail.com to arrange a drop off time. Click here for a list of Share's Most Needed Items.
5. The Redeemer Lutheran Church located at 1545 Chain Bridge Dr, McLean, Va., accepts donations of non-perishable food and personal hygiene items only Monday-Friday 9am-3pm. Come to the office and ring the doorbell. (The office is on the Westmoreland side of the church, not the front doors and not the playground side). Please only bring items if you are in good health. They cannot accept clothing, toys or household items.
